Warlands Farm Guest House - Durham

The guest house has a fine garden that adds charm.

My stay had some discomforting issues. The room was quite cold, made sleeping difficult. I also felt the WiFi was inadequate. Hearing noise from other guests during the night disrupted my sleep.

The rooms were modern, complete with huge TV, and with smoke detectors for safety measures too. This was a wonderful location adjacent to gardens, centre, and Durham. Besides, the hotel was 3 km away from Langley Hall.

I was the first to stay in my room, and the modern design with an ensuite was impressive. The cozy lounge and beautiful garden were perfect for unwinding after a long day. Just a heads up, it was a bit chilly in the room, but the heater sorted that out quick! 😊

Managing without scaffolding at the entrance was challenging, especially with young children in tow. The WiFi connection was quite poor, which could be off-putting for returning guests, and a fan in the room would have been a welcome addition during hot weather. The atmosphere was warm and cute, and the fine garden enhanced the overall experience with its serene beauty.

Just a great match for a city break in Durham with excellent value for money. The beautiful garden was perfect. Keep an eye out for the hidden entrance. It's easy to miss if you're not careful.

The breakfast with artisan bread was a good start to the day. The absence of a door between the bedroom and the bathroom created an awkward feeling of exposure. A more conventional design might be preferable for some guests seeking privacy. While the modern open concept doesn't detract from comfort, it may not be to everyone's taste.

The beautiful garden was a highlight, and I enjoyed the shared kitchen complete with everything needed for a meal or snack. The modern room was comfortable, and I loved waking up to the sun shining through the large window. One thing I'd suggest is improving the WiFi, as it was quite poor .
